Bangladesh – Among Christians without rights | November 2016

In this country, being a Christian means having no rights. “Those who profess our faith do not have an easy life,” explains Father Valoti, regional superior of the Xaverians, who runs the Satkhira boys’ orphanage, as he shows the facility.

In addition to the real danger of being killed at the hands of terrorists, Christians – like the other minority, the Hindus – are forced to suffer a series of daily abuses. “Here in Bangladesh they say that all religions have the same rights, but then in practice there are differences”.
